Multiplier Event

Multiplier Event

Held in the prestigious Ord. Prof. Dr. Cemil Bilsel Conference Hall at Istanbul University in Turkey, the event was initially planned and approved for 76 local participants and 10 foreign participants. However, the event's growing reputation and the compelling nature of the subject matter attracted a significantly larger audience. As a result, the event welcomed a total of 138 attendees, comprising 126 local participants and 12 foreign participants. These attendees included educators, environmentalists, students, and community members from a diverse array of organizations, not just our project partners, adhering to the Erasmus+ Programme Rules. The event's inclusivity and broad appeal highlighted the growing interest in sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.

The conference showcased all the project’s results and key findings, providing a comprehensive overview of the Green All Together (GreAT) project's achievements. Throughout the day, several educational sessions were held, covering a range of critical topics. These included biogas production, the potential of microalgae as a sustainable food alternative, the impact of environmental degradation, the pervasiveness of plastic pollution, and the integration of environmental philosophy into everyday practices. These sessions were meticulously designed to address pressing environmental issues and contribute to combating climate change, aligning with the key priorities of the GreAT project.

During the event, participants were not only passive listeners but also active contributors. The sessions encouraged lively discussions, debates, and idea exchanges, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone could share their insights and experiences. Experts in each field presented their findings and engaged with the audience, answering questions and elaborating on complex concepts. This interactive format ensured that the attendees left with a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the topics covered.

During coffee breaks, participants had the unique opportunity to sample food snacks that included microalgae. This practical demonstration showed how microalgae can be used safely and easily as a green food resource. The hands-on experience was a highlight for many attendees, as it bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. By tasting and discussing the microalgae-based snacks, participants could better appreciate the nutritional benefits and environmental advantages of this sustainable food source.

To measure the event’s impact, participants took quizzes and surveys before and after the event. These assessments were designed to gauge the participants' knowledge and engagement levels, and the results were telling. The data showed that participants were highly engaged and significantly improved their understanding of the topics by the end of the day. A special survey, created by Istanbul University, assessed how useful, relevant, and transferable the project content was. Participants provided valuable feedback, confirming the practical utility of the information presented. The positive feedback highlighted the event's success in not only educating attendees but also inspiring them to take action in their communities.

The culmination of the event was marked by a rewarding conclusion. At the end of the day, the top three quiz winners received small gifts as mementos from the GreAT project and the Multiplier Event. These gifts were tokens of appreciation for their active participation and enthusiasm, adding a fun and celebratory element to the event. The winners were recognized in front of their peers, which added a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie among all attendees.

The event was a resounding success, achieving its goals of disseminating the project's findings, educating participants on crucial environmental issues, and fostering a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to sustainable practices. The overwhelming turnout and positive feedback underscored the importance and relevance of the GreAT project. This successful event set a precedent for future initiatives, demonstrating the power of education and community engagement in driving environmental change. It left a lasting impression on all who attended, empowering them with the knowledge and inspiration to make a difference in their own spheres of influence.
